"LADYBUG" - PURA COCO

Coco Vasquez is not only an incredibly talented musician, but she’s a close friend to the Evoko crew. We relish opportunities to lean into concepts that say something much deeper than what might be obvious on first watch. Coco’s song “Ladybug” has the perfect vocals and theme we needed to dig deep into something that resonates for her on a very personal level.

Aside from the personal aspect to this project, we really enjoyed the chance to play around with some very stylistic lighting styles and set design. Those elements you see on the screen really empowered us to lean into something more conceptual, blending our love for narrative film and subtext in with our love for good music. Our goal was to try and tell a deeper story than just simply turning this into a "cool" performance style music video.
